When you are in the Vail/Beaver Creek area, and your body hurts, take it to Simply Massage. This great concept, locally owned, provides your choice of massage modality (Swedish, deep tissue, etc) from some of the valley’s best therapists, at a fraction of the cost than what you’d pay at your hotel’s spa. And the kicker? Many of the masseuses at Simply Massage are the very same you’ll find working at the ritzier places. The only difference is that the location offers clean and attractive private rooms for your massage, but none of the fluffy extra stuff like a steam room, sauna or shower. When I really want my body put back together so I can enjoy my next day on the hill, I get right to business and spend my time and money on a great massage. I’ll save the “extra” pampering for a rainy day at my local gym.
Make sure you tell the receptionist what you’d like: deeper or softer pressure? Male or female therapist? Specific chronic issures? They can find a fit for you with several therapists on duty at any given time. Great hours, too—10AM to 9PM, seven days a week.
