I thought it would be appropriate to kick off this monthly column just as most of my nights begin in Aspen: at Campo de Fiori Ristorante. This atmospheric Italian spot is located in a subterranean space on Restaurant Row (near Hopkins Avenue and South Mill Street) in the heart of downtown Aspen. Things can get a bit loud as the dinner crowd moves from the quaint dining room into the bar area, but with celebrants like the Espresso Martini—my favorite way to jumpstart an evening—“Campo” is the perfect place to begin a night on the town.
