It’s time for suds instead of the slopes when you hear the Derailer Bar’s train whistle echoing off the mountains. The piercing blast signals the start of Happy Hour at 3 p.m. every day at the resort’s base. Try a pitcher of Mary Jane ale, named after a “woman of the night” during the mining era, or a "beer-and-a-bump" for more kick. You can also hit the new Cheeky Monk Belgium Beer Café in the Village at Winter Park, or head a few miles into town to the Winter Park Pub for food and drink specials, including dollar taco nights on Tuesdays.
