Ten-year U.S. Ski Team member Chad Fleischer tests every brand before carrying it in his new ski shop, Fleischer Sports, at the base of the mountain in One Steamboat Place. That, combined with restaurant-style booths where guests get personalized service, puts Steamboat’s newest ski shop at the top of the heap. “So many ski shops treat clients like livestock,” says Fleischer, who once took the silver in a World Cup downhill in Spain. “Our personalized rental centers make us more like a boutique.”
