Utah's Most Incredible Ski Experience

September 30, 2009

With “The Greatest Snow On Earth” falling on so many corners of Utah’s ski resorts, time limitation need not keep you from getting a big taste of the very best that Utah’s skiing Mecca has to offer.

Led by fully certified backcountry mountain guides, and with the rare permission to go between resorts via otherwise out-of-bounds access routes, the Ski Utah Interconnect Tour creates an ideal opportunity for expert/advanced level skiers to sample several Utah ski resorts and get a big taste of the legendary Wasatch backcountry…all in the same day!

At only $250 per person, The “Innerconnect” adventure includes professional guiding, lunch, lift access, transportation back to the point of origin, and a commemorative Ski Utah Interconnect finisher’s pin…not to mention a lifetime of memories and the opportunity to ski and soak up the best vistas Utah’s snow country has to offer.

With the option to start at two different points, Ski Utah Interconnect Tours either go from Deer Valley-Park City-Solitude-Brighton-Alta-Snowbird or from Snowbird-Alta-Brighton-Solitude (and back over to Alta-Snowbird). Both options take guests through a variety of untouched powder fields, lightly traveled backcountry landscapes, and across the jaw-dropping beauty of “Highway to Heaven”, the passage connecting Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.

Due to the fact that Deer Valley and Alta do not allow snowboarding, the Tour is not available for snowboarders, and skiers taking on this adventure must be over 16 or older (those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). While not off the charts of reason, basic fitness is a must for taking on the Interconnect Tour, as some sections do require traversing, short hikes, and the inevitably varied snow conditions, not to mention covering over 20 miles of on-snow travel. However, no specialized backcountry gear or training is required, and avalanche beacons are supplied to guests as a basic safety precaution.

Reservations are required for the Ski Utah Interconnect, with a maximum group size of 12 people. To book a tour, call Ski Utah at (801) 534.1907.
