There once was a time when ski films were for everyone. You didn't have to own the latest gear or be able to huck the sickest trick to enjoy the viewing experience, you simply had to appreciate the spirit of winter because for many, a ski vacation is about much more than just making turns. Warren Miller knew that and it came through in his feature-length ski films where he highlighted not only some of the most demanding terrain around, but also those fantastical ski towns both at home and abroad that most people only dream of. But his films also had soul. He had the unique ability to weave a few laughs into the "oohs" and "aahs" by showcasing the lighter side of the sport in a way that nobody else has dared tried to replicate.
Since Warren Miller Entertainment's first release, "Deep and Light" back in 1950, the company has gone on to release a new film every single year for over half a century. This year not only marks the 60th anniversary of the first feature, but also the release of their 60th project, "Dynasty", narrated by Jonny Moseley. To commemorate the event, WME is running a 60-day giveaway with prizes that include lift tickets, skis and even a trip to Snowbird. Just play the daily challenge to take your crack at the giveaway and also have your name entered into the grand prize drawing.
And while you're at it, check out the HD-version of the "Dynasty" trailer below. The live showings are always a blast, whether you're with a group of friends or family (yes, even the kids will love it), so check the schedule to find one near you...
