If you want over-the-top pampering, Beaver Creek is your perfect fit. Just 10 miles west of Vail, with rarely a lift line, the 1,815 skiable acres offer everything that any level of skier or snowboarder could want, including the challenge of the second hardest world-cup downhill course, miles of cruising intermediate trails and plenty of untracked powder possibilities.

Most ideal for those with families, first-timers or groups of mixed abilities who want their vacations to focus on skiing and spoiling, Beaver Creek meets everyone’s needs with the largest amount of groomed terrain in North America, long steep bump runs, tree skiing and terrain parks. The award winning ski school at Beaver Creek excels at private and group lessons for all ages and levels, and the overall feel is especially welcoming for families. Gourmet chocolate chip cookies are handed out gratis at the main base area, as are the daily, guided “mountain welcome” tours at mid-mountain.

The layout of the resort allows for an European-like village-to-village skiing experience, or the option of taking a free shuttle to move between areas. Unique features include the picture perfect heated cobblestone pedestrian village with world famous boutiques, galleries and restaurants, all centered around an open air ice skating for an extra romp just before fireworks decorate the sky above. Covered escalators move skiers to the main base chairlift (no awkward stair climbing), and ski valets store your gear slope-side adding to the extravagance where guest service professionals anticipate needs you didn’t even know you had.

Visitors looking for fun other than skiing will find it in the serene Strawberry Park, with meadows and forests reserved for snowshoeing and cross country excursions, or snowmobiling, dog sledding and even hot air balloon rides near the resort. Of course, the numerous spas in Beaver Creek are second to none, and almost any spa indulgence imaginable can be found throughout the resort (many services will also come to your lodge if you are too sore to move).

For the hungry, there are mid-mountain lunches at exclusive dining clubs, terrific sit-down and cafeteria-style restaurants, or a visit from a private chef to your condo - members of the group can stop by at anytime for a custom meal, and the leftovers make great late afternoon snacks.

Dining options at night range from casual pizza, sushi, Mexican or burgers (frequently with live music), to multiple five-star exquisite experiences such as Beano’s Cabin, a 125 year-old restored cabin where diners arrive from a starry-night sleigh ride before they savor one of the best meals they’ll ever have.

Late night festivities are of the more refined variety, favoring world class entertainment such as Arlo Guthrie or the Alvin Ailey dance troupe performing at the gorgeous Vilar Center for the Arts (visit VVF.org for schedules and tickets), or casually soaking in one of your ski lodge’s hot tubs and then relaxing in front of a huge fireplace with live music playing softly as you enjoy a nightcap. Beaver Creek is located in the central Rocky Mountains of Colorado, just 120 miles west of Denver and just 20 miles east of Eagle off of Interstate 70. Located in the heart of Colorado's central Rocky Mountain Range, you'll find it is very easy to access Beaver Creek by air or land.

Air Travel


Vail / Eagle County Airport (EGE): Located just 20 minutes from Beaver Creek.  Serviced by American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, and United.  Car rentals, taxi, and shuttle services available.

Denver International Airport (DEN): Located 100 miles east of Beaver Creek.  Non-stop destination for major domestic and international carriers.  Car rentals, taxi, and shuttle services available

Driving Directions

From Denver International Airport (DEN) and points East:
- Take Pena Boulevard from DIA to Interstate 70 (I-70) west
- Proceed for approximately 120 miles (estimated time: 2 hours 15 minutes) to the Avon exit #167
- Enter the roundabout and continue left. You will be heading south, and should go back under I-70
- Continue straight on this road through 4 more roundabouts, after which you will see the entrance to Beaver Creek
- Proceed to the Welcome Gate

From Eagle County Airport (EGE) and points West:
- Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to Highway 6. Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading east.
- Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east.
- Proceed on I-70 for approximately 20-25 minutes, to the Avon exit #167.
- At the bottom of the exit, take a right around the roundabout. You will be heading south. Proceed straight through 3 more roundabouts, after which you will see the entrance to Beaver Creek.
- Proceed to the Welcome Gate

Ground Transportation

Colorado Mountain Express offers numerous daily door-to-door shuttles to and from Denver International Airport to Beaver Creek.  You can also arrange for private, chauffeured travel services via CME Premiere.  Click here to go to their website and begin planning.

Village Transportation offers complimentary shuttle service for all guests staying in Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead village to anywhere within the resort.  For more information or to schedule a pick-up, call Village Transportation at 970-949-1938 or ask your concierge to book a shuttle, allowing 10-20 minutes for pickup.

You also have a few bus service options to get you around the towns of Avon and Edwards, CO...

Town of Avon buses depart throughout the day from the Elk parking lot, offering service to amenities and lodging properties within the town limits.
