Jay Peak has a reputation for being one of Vermont's nicest ski resorts, and there's a very good reason for that. It has 76 posted ski runs (24 of which is for tree-skiing) and 4 terrain parks over 385 acres worth of skiable area, ideal for all levels of skiing skill. It probably helps that the resort has the most snow compared to other ski resorts in the area; the skiing possibilities at Jay Peak could be considered endless.

Burlington International Airport is the most conveniently located airport, just 80 miles/129 km (1 1/2 hours) from the mountain.  Other nearby airports include Montreal, QC (85 miles/137 km from Jay Peak; 1.5 hours) and Manchester, NH (196 miles/315 km; 3.25 hours).

Driving Directions

From Albany:  Begin on I-787N towards Troy (7.0 miles).  Take exit 9W to merge onto RT-7W toward Saratoga Springs / I-87 (3.5 miles).  Take the exit onto I-87N toward Glens Falls / Saratoga Springs (168 miles).  Take exit 42 for US-11 toward Mooers / Rouses Point (0.2 miles).  Turn right at US-11 (4.7 miles).  Turn left at Lake St / US-11 ( 1.2 miles).  Turn right at US-2 - entering Vermont (7.0 miles).  Turn left at VT-78 (9.9 miles).  Turn left to stay on VT-78 (0.3 miles).  Continue on Grand Ave. / US-7 (2.4 miles).  Turn left at Woods Hill Road (4.4 miles).  Slight left at VT-105 (10.7 miles).  Turn left at Main St./VT-105/VT-108 (5.5 miles.  Turn right at Montgomery Road / VT-118 (4.7 miles).  Turn right at N. Main Street / VT-118 (2.4 miles).  Turn left at Mountain Rd./VT-242 (7.7 miles)

From Boston:  Begin on I-93 N toward Concord NH, through New Hampshire, into Vermont. (171 miles).  Take the exit onto I-91 N toward St Johnsburg (33.2 miles).  Take exit 26 to merge onto US-5 N/VT-58 W toward Irasburg, continue to follow US-5 N (5.9 miles).  Turn left at VT-14 (4.6 miles).  Slight left at VT-100 (6.0 miles).  Turn right at VT-101 (3.1 miles). Turn left at VT-242 (5.1 miles).

From Burlington, VT:  Head north on I-89 N (25.1 miles).  Take exit 19 for VT-104 toward VT-36/US-7/St Albans (0.5 miles).  Merge onto St Albans St S (259 feet).  Turn right at Fairfax Rd/VT-104. Continue to follow VT-104 (2.5 miles).  Slight right at Sheldon Rd/VT-105. Continue to follow VT-105 (16.1 miles).  Turn left at Main St/VT-105/VT-108. Continue to follow VT-105 (5.5 miles).  Turn right at Montgomery Rd/VT-118. Continue to follow VT-118 (4.7 miles).  Turn right at N Main St/VT-118 (2.4 miles).  Turn left at Mountain Rd/VT-242. Continue to follow VT-242 (7.7 miles).

From Hartford, CT:  Head north on I-91 N toward Springfield/Bradley Int'l Airport, passing through Massachusetts, entering Vermont (237 miles).  Take exit 26 to merge onto US-5 N/VT-58 W toward Irasburg. Continue to follow US-5 N (5.9 miles).  Turn left at VT-14 (4.6 miles).  Slight left at VT-100 (6.0 miles).  Turn right at VT-101 (3.1 miles).  Turn left at VT-242 (5.1 miles).

From Montreal:  Begin on AUT-10 E toward Pont Champlain/Sherbrooke (4.9 km).  Take the AUT-15 S/AUT-10 E/AUT-20 E/HWY-15 S/HWY-10 E/Pont Champlain/HWY-20 E/Champlain Bridge exit toward Sherbrooke (0.6 km).  Merge onto AUT-10 E/AUT-15 S/AUT-20 E/Pont Champlain. Continue to follow AUT-10 E (97.6 km).  Take exit 100 toward Stukely-Sud/St-Etienne-De-Bolton (0.3 km).  Turn right at Chemin du Grandbois (3.7 km).  Continue on Rue Principale (0.3 km).  Slight left at Chemin de Bolton Ctre (6.8 km). Turn right at Route Missisquoi/RTE-245 (6.3 km).  Turn left at Route Bolton Pass/RTE-243. From New York, NY:  Begin on FDR Dr N (8.2 miles).  Take exit 17 on the left for Grand Central Pkwy/Triboro Bridge toward Bruckner Expy/I-278 (0.4 miles).  Merge onto Triborough Bridge (0.4 miles).  Merge onto I-278 E via the ramp to Upstate N Y/I-87 N/New England/Bronx (0.6 miles).  Take the exit onto Bruckner Expy/I-278 E toward New Haven (1.9 miles).  Take the exit onto Bruckner Expy/I-278 E toward New Haven (3.0 miles).  Merge onto I-95 N, entering Connecticut (64.5 miles).  Take exit 48 on the left to merge onto I-91 N toward Hartford, passing through Massachusetts, entering Vermont (274 miles).  Take exit 26 to merge onto US-5 N/VT-58 W toward Irasburg. Continue to follow US-5 N (5.9 miles).  Turn left at VT-14 (4.6 miles).  Slight left at VT-100 (6.0 miles).  Turn right at VT-101 (3.1 miles).  Turn left at VT-242 (5.1 miles)

From Ottawa:  Begin on HWY-417 E/Trans Canada Hwy E, entering Quebec (117 km).  Continue on AUT-40 E/Autoroute Transcanadienne E (66.4 km).  Take exit 66-S on the left to merge onto AUT-15 S toward Pont Champlain AUT-10/Centre-Ville/Montréal (16.2 km).  Continue on AUT-10 E (93.6 km).  Take exit 100 toward Stukely-Sud/St-Etienne-De-Bolton (0.3 km).  Turn right at Chemin du Grandbois (3.7 km).  Continue on Rue Principale (0.3 km).  Slight left at Chemin de Bolton Ctre (6.8 km).  Turn right at Route Missisquoi/RTE-245 (6.3 km).  Turn left at Route Bolton Pass/RTE-243.
